Jayanti Celebrations

The Jayanthi celebration of Sri Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru is held in the school premises, in the month of September. To commemorate the celebration, the school hosts Inter- School competitions. In 2010, the school conducted an inter-school chess championship and the Rolling shield was won by our school. The following year, the school hosted a Bhajan singing and Vedic Hymn Recitation Competition. We won first place in both the events, but the prizes were passed on to the next best school on moral grounds.

A sumptuous lunch is served to the staff and students in view of the Jayanti Celebrations every year.

Jayanthi Celebrations – 2012

The School has had the privilege of hosting ‘Jayanthi Mahotsava’ annually in the School Campus. This year, the Jayanthi Celebrations were held on 13 September 2012, to pay our respectful homage to Dr. Sree Sree Rajendra Mahaswamigalawaru.

The day began with the traditional puja followed by Bhajans and chanting of Vedic Hymns by students and staff of the institution in the quadrangle, surrounding the atrium of the school.

The Chief Guest for the day was Shri Chandrashekariah, Professor of English ( Retd.)Chamarajnagar. He spoke to the students about Mahaswamiji’s vision of humanity and magnanimity during His lifetime. He narrated a few anecdotes to exemplify the Swamiji’s concern and role to spread education and help the needy. He lauded the efforts of Dr.Rajendra Mahaswamigalawaru and the present Pontiff of Suttur Mutt Sree Sree Deshikendra Swamiji for their untiring efforts in making JSSMVP, a mammoth institution today.

The High School students presented a group song extolling the virtues of the Venerated Soul. This was followed by a sumptuous community lunch for the students and staff of the school. The event was memorable as it brought out the significance of the day.
